The Paloma from your Local North West Liquor Store

Everyone in Texas it seems love a Margarita, because lets face it we love Tequila in Texas. Tequila is a favorite of customers at Your , Oak Liquor Cabinet. Yet the Margarita is far from the only cocktail or mixed drink that is made from Tequila. Another cocktail made from Tequila is the Paloma. I have never understood why it is not as popular in Texas, since Texans love Grapefruit. Your Local North West Liquor Store is here to give you a dam good Paloma recipe and show you just how good a Paloma can be poolside or at your Bar-B-Q. The Paloma is a refreshing combo of Tequila, Grapefruit, and lime.
National Tequila Day is coming on July 24th, why not celebrate it with a Paloma, and a new bottle of Tequila from Your Local North West Liquor Store? The recipe is rather easy. My recipe however adds a little spice, so it is perfect with some Mexican or Tex-Mex food.

Beginners Guide To Tasting Wine

Oak Liquor Cabinet, your neighborhood liquor store features wine tastings every single Friday. Many of our customers enjoy these wine tastings, but many more shy away from trying these wine samples, due to being new to wine tasting. If you are new to the world of wine tasting, trust me when I say that learning how to taste wine properly is no different than learning how to appreciate fine arts or music. Wine may be complex, more complex than most people realize, but the complexity is in the grapes, vintage, region the wine is from, and other aspects, and not so much in learning how to taste and pair your wines.

Hand Crafted Vs Mass Produced Tequila

Tequila, while you can find it at any Austin liquor store, not all brands are created equal. Most people know that Tequila is made from the agave plant, yet few people seem to know that the quality of the agave and the time it is harvested can deeply effect the quality and the taste of your Tequila. Many of the mass produced Tequila brands are forced for example to harvest their agave far sooner than it should be. Can you taste a difference in quality between for example a hand crafted Tequila which allows their agave to grow to the proper length of time versus some mass produced Tequila which harvests early? For many who actually compare two side by side the answer is a resounding yes.
