Everyone in Texas it seems love a Margarita, because lets face it we love Tequila in Texas. Tequila is a favorite of customers at Your , Oak Liquor Cabinet. Yet the Margarita is far from the only cocktail or mixed drink that is made from Tequila. Another cocktail made from Tequila is the Paloma. I have never understood why it is not as popular in Texas, since Texans love Grapefruit. Your Local North West Liquor Store is here to give you a dam good Paloma recipe and show you just how good a Paloma can be poolside or at your Bar-B-Q. The Paloma is a refreshing combo of Tequila, Grapefruit, and lime.
National Tequila Day is coming on July 24th, why not celebrate it with a Paloma, and a new bottle of Tequila from Your Local North West Liquor Store? The recipe is rather easy. My recipe however adds a little spice, so it is perfect with some Mexican or Tex-Mex food.
1.5 ounces Tequila Blanco
.5 ounce lime juice
Optional: Salt and cayenne rim
1. Combine tequila and lime juice in a glass. (Salt rim optional)
2. Top with Grapefruit Soda.
3. Garnish with a lime wedge.
For the spicy version, simply make a sale rim connection of salt and cayenne powder to taste. It may take you a few tries to get the heat if the rim salt to your exact liking!
